About us
Welcome to Travel Trek Tours! Our journey began in 2021 when two adventurous friends from France set out to explore the vibrant tapestry of Kenya. Fueled by a curiosity to understand and appreciate the diversity of cultures and communities, they embarked on a mission to visit Kibera, the second largest slum in Africa. With a passion for authentic experiences and a desire to bridge cultural gaps, they invited me, a local resident, to join their expedition.
As the sole guide initially, I shared the rich tapestry of Kibera’s stories and traditions. Over time, our team has grown to include four more passionate guides, all proud residents of Kibera, dedicated to offering visitors an immersive and insightful journey into our community. At Travel Trek Tours, we strive to create meaningful connections and foster understanding through responsible tourism.
